No birthday cards to send
No hug or kiss.
For you have left me
And how you are missed.

They say time heals all sorrow
And time heals all pain.
But what I'd give to have you here again.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
You shared a birthday with my dad,
Someone you never met.
I didn't know him well
But him will never forget.

Today I will visit your final resting place,
Flowers will adorn your grave.
I will thank you most lovingly
For the wonderful life me you gave.

I know you're only
"A Whisper Away"
I know that beyond the sunset
We will be reunited some sweet day.

Hello Yvonne,
There is a beautiful saying by Aristophanes...it goes something like this,"Your lost friends are not dead, but gone before, advanced a stage or two upon that road which you must travel in the steps they trod. Like you said, you shall someday be reunited with him beyond the sunset!
Yvonne,
As you would have already read my most recent poem, you would be much aware that I too am experiencing such longing (for my father). These Souls will never come back physically, but the sweetest moments we shared with them will always give us company. Thank you for warming me with such beautiful verses. Regards.
Yvonne.. soo sweet n sincere tribute to the love of ur life.. live up to the moments on this spl day..
Wow loved this. And what a great photo of your father!

ps - I always appreciate your musical selections, too.
Dear, Very Touching Lines :) :)
A beautiful poem Yvonne, I am sure it is a bittersweet day for you.
God bless!
i have moisture eyes reading it. and the song "God is watching us from a distance" is touching too. take care.
Very beautiful and sad. I feel your pain in these lovely words. You are blessed still with his love even though he is not physically here and of course your shared memories. He is waiting for you in Paradise.
Sad note.but its truly touching :)
Hi Yvonne, I know you miss him very much and the poem is lovely. Love the music, too.
Very nice and also sad. My dad died when I was young, I don't remember him too much, this is sad but I still miss him. Enjoyed your pictures.
Hi Yvonne:)
Lovely tribute to your departed husband. He is truly a great man who made you so happy. He is a gem and he will be thrilled with your praise, no doubt. This wonderful poem will go up to him as a garland with beautiful flowers and he will be jumping with joy.
Best wishes Yvonne:)

Hello, Friend!
Loved the poem and the music. The 10th is our wedding anniversary. Gramps and I have been married 35 years. God bless you, my dear.
love,
Ruby
A very moving poem....
You always say your thoughts so beautifully...
This is so heart touching Yvonne.loved it
Wonderful.. so touching. Beautiful words for two important men in your life.
Ah ha! I think this, perhaps, explains why you and your husband were soulmates from the word go, Yvonne - he did after all have the same birthday as your father and probably had quite a few characteristics in common with him. A beautiful, heartfelt poem - very moving.
