As we approach 2012,
I think of highlights of this year.
Some have brought laughter,
Some have brought tears.

February I went to Nashville,
In the state of Tennessee.
I give you nine out of ten guesses,
As to whom I went to see.

March, back in the UK,
Danny Boy was at Brighton.
It was also the last time
I was spoken to by my prodigal son.

April brought the A to Z Challenge,
The brainchild of Arlee Bird.
It was my second challenge,
To me quite absurd.

May took me to Toronto,
The first time there, I may say.
Also visited Niagara Falls,
Before going on to the USA.

June visited many places in the US,
To many to mention I hasten to add.
When we left Boston Airport,
I felt extremely sad.

Spent the summer at home,
As I live near the beach.
Spent many a hour there,
Answers to problems I tried to seek.

In the Autumn got the all clear.
From a medical condition,
I hope it stays that way,
As I take the medication.

I got to see Danny Boy
At Bristol UK.
My hometown of many years ago.
My, how time slips away.?

My new book "Written from the Heart"
Was finally published.

Christmas was spent at my daughters'.
A good time had by all.
Yes, this year has had it's ups and downs,
But by and large I've certainly had a ball.

What a wonderful memory...life does toss us up and downs, and I try and remember only the good...
